Job Summary Statement:



 



The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for directing the activities of Logistics Coordinators, OTM (Oracle Transportation Management), and addressing transportation requests from other functional areas within the organization.



 



Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:



Responsible for supervising the Logistics Coordinators processing customer orders for routing.



Support and serve as backup for all departmental positions in Logistics.



Ensure all Logistics Coordinators are trained on customer routing guides and departmental processes.



Approve associates time records and vacation request in Kronos.



Serve as the departmental designated user for Oracle Transportation Management training and process flow. (OTM)



Support the annual freight carrier RFP process by providing input on contracted carrier performance.



Maintain relationships with all prepaid freight carriers.



Maintain customer routing guides / Customer Profiles.



Troubleshoot and correct all customer issues relating to Logistics.



Route freight and handle requests from other functional areas in the organization.



Serve as the departmental contact for all office supply requests.



Serve as primary Oracle Super User and tester for new system functionality prior to implementation.



Maintain and complete carrier truckload Manifest.



Train, motivate and evaluate associates to ensure an effective workforce.



Responsible for tracking metrics and productivity reports for the department.



Create, establish, and document operational procedures and process.



Support Vendor Compliance research and provide data tracking and analysis.



Serve as a support / point of contact for Distribution issues related to shipment across all modes of Transportation.



Ensure Logistics Coordinators adhere to approved scheduling time slots (Appointment Log) throughout the year.



Serve as agent for change management.



Ensure safety policies are adhered to.



Other duties as assigned.



 Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:



Education: Bachelor’s degree / Associate’s degree in related field or at least five (5) years of experience in logistics field.



Experience: Minimum five (5) years of experience in logistics and (3) years of experience in a supervisor or leadership role.



English language skills: Able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.



Math skills: Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.



Physical Demands: Warehouse and Office environment.



Work environment: Warehouse is hot and humid in summer months, cold in winter months.



Preferred Qualifications:



Oracle 12.1.3 – Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) – Warehouse Management System – Telnet (WMS)



Knowledge of Spanish.



Topps MaxLoad – Truckload Analysis

Computer literate in the use of email, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.

Track and Measure order processing time, associate productivity, process adherence and other metrics deemed necessary by the Manager of Logistics.
