Software Engineer - Frontend Development Specialist

Kansas City, MO or Omaha, NE

Expected Assignment Length: 6 Months

Position Overview:

Were seeking a senior to advanced level software engineer with strong frontend development expertise to join an innovative technology team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a cutting-edge design system while collaborating with UX designers and development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead frontend development initiatives and component creation for an in-house design system

Collaborate with UX and graphic designers to create 508-compliant web solutions

Develop and maintain reusable components using modern frameworks

Conduct peer code reviews and mentor junior developers

Participate in full-stack development projects

Create and maintain unit tests and automation frameworks

Provide on-call support and troubleshooting

Required Skills & Qualifications:

6-10+ years of relevant software development experience

Bachelors degree in STEM field or equivalent experience

Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and HTML

Experience with Angular and component-based architecture

Strong knowledge of design tokens, responsive design, and SASS

Expertise with Content Management Systems (Sitecore, Wagtail)

Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines

Knowledge of AWS services and cloud security best practices
