Description

Are you enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have a passion for using music as a tool to inspire and engage young learners?

We are excited to present an incredible opportunity for a committed music teacher to join one of our partner schools on a long-term basis, specialising in music education for children with SEN. This school serves students with complex and profound needs, including behavioural challenges, Autism, and Down Syndrome. They are dedicated to a restorative justice approach to behaviour management, fostering a respectful environment that emphasises the importance of building positive relationships within the school community.

We are on the lookout for an individual who demonstrates kindness and warmth in their teaching approach, possesses a creative mindset, and is skilled in planning, preparing, and assessing lessons effectively. You will cultivate a nurturing atmosphere for your students, tailoring your teaching strategies to accommodate each child's unique needs while maintaining flexibility in your methods. Prior experience working with children who have SEN is essential, as a deep understanding of their needs is vital for success in this role.

This part-time position requires a commitment of 3 days a week, with the potential for additional 2 days for general cover if desired. The school is well-known for its flexibility and offers a welcoming, supportive team environment.
