Container Transport Planner - Felixstowe - Up to £50,000

Our client who is a leading UK-based transport company are looking for a skilled Container Transport Planner to manage and optimize container movements across the UK, ensuring smooth, efficient, and cost-effective transport operations.

Job type: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday (Standard office hours)

Salary: Up to £50,000

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate container movements.
Optimize container routes and schedules for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Liaise with drivers, and internal teams to resolve operational issues and ensure timely deliveries.
Manage transport documentation, including VGM, delivery instructions, and haulier coordination.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), focusing on service quality and cost control.Requirements:

Proven experience in UK container planning
Right to work in the UK
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in transport management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office.
