Full-Time Learning Support Assistant – Immediate Start

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Learning Support Assistant to support students aged 16-19 in a college environment. This role requires experience in SEN (Special Educational Needs) learning support, specifically within a college setting, and the ability to provide personal care where necessary.

Job Details:

Location: Loughton
Salary: £15 per hour
Hours: Full-time
Start Date: ASAPKey Responsibilities:

Providing support to students aged 16-19 with special educational needs (SEN)
Assisting students with their academic tasks, ensuring they can engage with lessons and materials
Supporting students with personal care needs where appropriate
Working closely with teaching staff to implement individual learning plans (ILPs) and provide tailored support
Promoting students' independence and development through proactive encouragement and guidance
Supporting in class and during activities to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environmentEssential Requirements:

Previous experience in a learning support or SEN role, ideally within a college or similar educational setting
Experience in providing personal care to students, where required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and parents
A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting students with diverse learning needs
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
