A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer at a Leicester based food manufacturing company.

The role is to ensure plant and equipment downtime is kept to a minimum and building up-keep is maximised through efficient response times, continuous improvements, data acquisition and analysis, whilst maintaining and developing a positive attitude towards costs, quality and health and safety.

Role responsibilities:
· Electrical and mechanical diagnostic/fault finding techniques and the application of remedial work in a breakdown situation.
· Electrical/mechanical competences are required. Welding, basic machining, and fabrication skills are useful to enable the engineer to carry out various "general maintenance" tasks within the engineering field.
· Root cause analysis carried out on-line performance and stoppages.
· Production line monitoring.
· H&S checks and equipment compliant, in place and working.
· Recording tasks and store withdrawals, complying with all company quality system requirements and raising non-conformities where necessary.
· Preparation, tidiness and cleanliness of work areas and stores are maintained.
· Follow a "clean as you go" policy - keeping the work area tidy at all times and ensure that this is respected/followed by other members of the team.
· Ensure all company procedures are followed and implemented.

Competencies required
· General Craft skills.
· Even tempered and consistent.
· Electrical & Mechanical skills to C&G level/NVQ equivalent.
· Sound common sense and responsible attitude.
· Honesty, integrity, motivation and reliability.
· Can-do attitude.
· Alertness and sense of urgency.
· Solid mechanical and electrical experience.

This is a permanent role, salary £50,000 plus £1k bonus plus company benefits, working 4 on 4 off shifts (days and nights).

The shift pattern is 06:00 to 18:00 & 18:00 to 06:00, rotating weekly.
