Deputy Clinical Lead - Brain Injury Rehabilitation

Location: Worcester
Salary: Up to £48,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience)
Hours: Full-Time, Monday - Friday 9-5 (with on-call requirements)

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mental Health Nurse (RMN), General Nurse (RGN), or Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) to join a specialist brain injury rehabilitation service in Worcester as a Deputy Clinical Lead. This role is pivotal in supporting the Registered Manager to ensure high standards of care, safety, and compliance for adults with neurological conditions, including dementia, Korsakoff syndrome, Huntington's disease, and acquired brain injuries.

As part of the leadership team, you will provide guidance to frontline staff, oversee clinical care, and support continuous improvement within the service.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Registered Manager in developing and implementing effective strategies for service delivery.
Oversee quality assurance audits and present findings to the Governance Committee.
Lead and support the nursing and care team, conducting regular supervisions and appraisals.
Mentor new nurses and support staff in developing their clinical skills.
Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and safeguarding procedures.
Manage medicines administration and assess staff competency.
Facilitate and participate in care reviews with health and social care professionals.
Ensure thorough induction for new starters, including agency staff.
Monitor staffing rotas and ensure appropriate staff deployment.
Participate in the on-call rota and support the leadership team as needed.
Work collaboratively with the Registered Manager on service improvement plans.

About You:

To be eligible for this role, you must have:

Registered Nurse qualification (RMN, RGN, or RNLD).
A valid and clear NMC PIN.
Leadership experience in a healthcare environment, ideally as a Senior Nurse 
Experience in brain injury rehabilitation, neuropsychiatric care, or similar fields.
Knowledge of CQC regulations and person-centered care practices.
Strong communication, mentoring, and team management skills.
Experience in auditing, medicines management, and quality assurance processes.
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and participate in the on-call rota.
