Description

We are seeking a confident and proactive Clinical Psychologist to join a dedicated team in the scenic town of Townshend, Cornwall. This unique opportunity is ideal for a professional ready to take the lead in shaping and developing psychological services. You will play a pivotal role in designing innovative pathways for recovery, with a strong emphasis on trauma-informed approaches.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Leading the design and implementation of a new recovery pathway, integrating evidence-based psychological techniques.

* Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the pathway meets the needs of the local community.

* Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the recovery pathway, making adjustments as necessary.

* Providing expert psychological assessments, interventions, and therapies for individuals with a range of mental health challenges.

* Applying trauma-informed care principles to support individuals recovering from complex psychological issues.

* Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of psychological theories, techniques, and best practices.

* Working closely with other healthcare professionals, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to care.

Requirements:

* Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent) and registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.

* Proven experience in trauma-informed psychological care.

* Strong ability to work independently, with the confidence lead a psychological service.

* Excellent communication and organisational skills.

* While prior experience in substance misuse is not required, a willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of this population is beneficial.

* Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.

* Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
