We are pleased to have exclusively partnered with an established college group to recruit a part time Health and Safety Officer to the growing SHE team.

This is a rare and exciting part time opportunity, working 2.5 to 3 days a week with flexible hours. Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, you will be joining a dedicated team to assist in ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for staff and students.

You will be joining an organisation with core values focused on respect, inclusion, and integrity The Health and Safety Officer will be responsible for:

Working alongside the Safety, Health and Environment Manager in the development and monitoring of safety, health and environment policies and procedures
Engaging with management and Safety Representatives to identify safety, health and environmental requirements
Provide assistance in the reporting and where required investigation of incidents and near misses
Assisting management to making improvements following safety, health and environment audits
Ensure routine safety, health and environment audits activities and checks are carried out To be considered for this role you should have:

IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent qualification
Experience in a Health and Safety role, or a position with relevant Health and Safety responsibilities
The skills and ability to work as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills In return, the successful candidate will receive a salary of up to £40,000 pro-rata based on 2.5 to 3 days a week, and an excellent benefits package.

Please note, an enhanced DBS check will be completed by the company prior to employment.
