Job Title: Mechanical Engineer - Data Centre Project (Germany)
Location: Germany (On-site)

About the Role:

Pivotal role in ensuring the mechanical systems of the facility are designed, installed, tested, and commissioned to the highest standards. This is an exciting opportunity to work on-site on a technically challenging and innovative project while benefiting from a comprehensive relocation package.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the installation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, cooling systems, and fire protection systems.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure designs meet project specifications and timelines.
Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, ensuring compliance with design, safety, and quality standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical system issues during installation and commissioning phases.
Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and submittals related to mechanical works.
Liaise with contractors and vendors to ensure equipment and materials are delivered and installed correctly.
Provide technical support and guidance to on-site teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure adherence to German and EU regulations, standards, and codes of practice.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in data centre or large-scale industrial projects.
Proven expertise in HVAC systems, cooling systems, and other mechanical services for mission-critical environments.
Familiarity with German building regulations and industry standards (VOB, DIN, etc.) is highly desirable.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English; knowledge of German is an advantage but not required.
Proficiency in design and project management tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project).
