Growing Manager

Circa £44k + EXCELLENT benefits

Kent

Full-time, 40-50 hours, Monday – Friday (Weekends if required)

Food production specialist seek reliable, hardworking, conscientious individuals to assist in the production and preparation or herbs and salads.

Duties of the successful Growing Manager will involve:

Employees have a duty to take care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by employees’ actions at work. Employees must co-operate with employers and co-workers to help everyone meet their legal requirements.

Manage production of baby leaf, wholehead & herb crops
Liaise with relevant stakeholders, UK Senior team & farm managers to agree and plan production for the coming seasons
Secure seeds checking quality & timeframes align with production pans
Liaise with farm managers & HR to ensure correct resource and staffing needs
Challenge current production plans and identify areas for improvement
Ensure all admin functions are completed
Work towards companies high standards in health and safety and quality
The Successful Growing Manager will enjoy;

Proven professional experience growing salads or vegetables
Full driving licence
Computer Literacy
Crop husbandry
Flexibility and a drive to learn
Excellent communication
Horticultural or growing experience essential
