Spider is advertising on behalf of a high-quality dog food manufacturing company for a Production Operative to join their production team in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

Competitive Salary:£11.50 per hour plus £40 bonus paid weekly based on full attendance
Holiday: 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays

About the role:

As a Production Operative, you will be an integral part of the production team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production line. Working hours are Monday – Thursday 07.00 to 18.00.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Safely managing stock by bringing products in and out of fridges and freezers
Unpacking and preparing ingredients for production
Operating machinery, including bandsaws and grinders, to process various frozen products
Loading products onto conveyor belts and into mincing machines
Applying lids and packing finished products into tubs
Stacking and wrapping pallets for storage and despatch
Maintaining cleanliness and safety in the production area

About You:

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and take pride in your work and are eager to contribute to their mission. You should be a team player, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality. Previous experience in a food production environment is advantageous, but what matters most is your passion for ensuring that every product meets high standards and your ability to work efficiently under pressure.
