Job description

Steelwork Detailer - Hitchin, Near Luton

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per year (DOE)Location: Hitchin, near LutonEmployment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Are you a skilled Steelwork Detailer with a passion for precision and design? Join a dynamic team specializing in structural and architectural steel projects, and bring your expertise to a company that values innovation and teamwork.

Responsibilities:
* Create GA and detailed drawings for structural and architectural steel elements, including beams, trusses, stairs, and façades.
* Prepare fabrication drawing packages, including assemblies, single parts, NC files, and schedules.
* Generate bills of material, bolt lists, and related documents.
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to ensure project success.
* Perform site surveys and take accurate measurements.
* Assist and mentor junior draftspersons.
* Manage drawing control, calculations, RFIs, and variations.

Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
* Proficiency in Tekla and CAD software.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Industry-relevant experience.
* Ability to perform site surveys and work with precision.
* Ideally, reside within 45 minutes to 1 hour of Hitchin.
* Availability to start January/February 2024.
