Our client is seeking a GSE Mechanic to join their thriving workshop at Gatwick Airport.

Job Purpose:
To undertake the repair and maintenance of ground support equipment (GSE) to the required standard. Adhere to corporate Health and Safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

* Repair and maintain GSE as requested.

* Carry out inspections, brake, and smoke tests.

* Diagnose faults and report findings to the Workshop Supervisor.

* Complete job cards accurately and timely.

* Ensure effective use of parts and tools.

* Report defective items promptly.

* Adhere to health and safety regulations.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills required:

* Min 5 years’ experience in vehicle mechanics

* Level 3 City and Guilds

* Experience in Auto Mechanics / HGV Mechanic / Plant Mechanics / Light Vehicle

* Hydraulics experience is desirable

* Welding and forklift experience is desirable

* Analytical and problem-solving skills

* Good communication skills

* Customer-oriented

* General health and safety knowledge

Qualifications:

* City & Guilds Level 3 in motor mechanics

* Full UK Driving licence

* Forklift (desirable)

* Welding (desirable)

* Hydraulics/ pneumatics experience

Package:

* Salary: £44,909 per annum

* Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, early and late shifts

* Early shifts: 06:00 - 18:00 / Late shifts: 11:00 - 23:00

Second Package

* Hours- 4 on 4 off 12hr day & night shifts

* Pay- £49,500

* Enhanced overtime rates at time & a half
