Prospero Teaching is excited to recruit for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join the team at a school located in the heart of Wimborne. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of young people with diverse learning needs, including complex needs and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The school caters for children and young people between the ages of four and nineteen, so you must feel comfortable working with any age. As a LSA, you will play a key role in supporting students with their academic, social and personal development. You will support students with their learning activities in one to one and group settings. Do you want to work somewhere, where no two days are the same then this is the job for you!

What we're looking for:

Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, particularly ASD (preferred but not essential)
A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to support.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A proactive attitude and enthusiasm for hands-on, practical learning.

Position Details:

Location: Wimborne
Position: SEN TA
Hours: 08:30am - 15:00pm
Minimum Rate of Pay: GBP85.10 per day
Full time/Part time: Full time only
Start date: 13/01/2025
End date: Ongoing
Experience, Training & Qualifications:

Previous experience supporting children in a school setting is essential
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update or service or be willing to process a new application.
Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
To be eligible for this role through prospero teaching, you must:

Hold right to work in the UK
Hold and enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references
