Highways Supervisor

We are currently seeking a professional and experienced Highways Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the highway or construction sector and be proficient in English.

Job Role:
The Highways Supervisor will be responsible for planning, managing, and delivering works on the ground. This includes ensuring that the correct quality is delivered and that cost and value are accurately collected.

Duties:
- Site supervision
- Site measurement
- Producing CDM construction phase plans and ensuring all safety procedures are carried out on site
- Ordering plant and materials on a daily basis
- Undertaking site inspections and inductions prior to work starting
- Assisting in the preparation of weekly cost and value reports
- Maintaining the site diary
- Managing subcontractors on site
- Providing ECI to clients/designers
- Producing and adhering to works programme
- Regular checks of vehicle appearance inside and out
- Actively fostering a positive staff morale
- Willingness to carry out any reasonable task as requested by a member of management

Person Specification:
Formal qualifications:
- GCSE in maths
- NRSWA supervisor

Skills:
- E-mail
- Word
- Excel

Experience:
Preferably experience in the highway or construction sector and managing multiple teams of people

Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the construction industry

Personal Qualities:
- Hardworking
- Professional
- Willing to learn
