Description

As the Global Finance Assistant, your role is essential in supporting the Finance team with the accurate and timely management of financial data, account reconciliations, and process improvements.
You will be responsible for key financial activities, such as regular reconciliations of bank and balance sheet accounts, and taking ownership of prepayments, accruals, and other balance sheet items.
Your work will be crucial to maintaining the integrity of our financial reporting, supporting budgeting and compliance activities, and ensuring effective resource allocation.
You will work closely with the Global Financial Controller, the Global Finance Director, and department heads to support financial reporting, reconciliations, and budgeting.
You will work closely with the income and accounts payable teams to support the processing of transactions and ensure financial data is recorded correctly. Additionally, you will assist in finance projects, support ad hoc queries from budget holders, and contribute to continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting across the organisation.Profile

Part-qualified or qualified in AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent or may be working towards an accountancy degree
Proven experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.
Strong ability to analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to assist in decision-making.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, Netsuite)
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with senior management, department heads, and external stakeholders.
Experience supporting finance teams, projects, and providing assistance with ad hoc financial queries.
Background in the non-profit sector or experience working with grant funding - desireable
Familiarity with working in a global organisation or with cross-functional teams - desirable
Proven track record in improving and developing financial processes and templates.
Experience in preparing and presenting financial reports to senior management or board members.
Knowledge of restricted fund management and reporting.Job Offer
