Overview: This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and forward-thinking Concept Technologist to join a business that can match your innovation! Working with one of the leading UK food manufacturers.

The Role/Responsibilities:

Collaborating closely with Development Chefs, suppliers, and the process development team, you'll craft new dishes that meet customer expectations and oversee raw material evaluation, support factory trials, monitor costs, and ensure smooth product launches, all while staying ahead of market trends and competitor activity.

* Ensure all product developments meet both customer expectations and business financial goals, including margins and budgets.

* Coordinate with the procurement team and suppliers to source and organize raw materials for sample creation and development.

* Present product concepts and developments to customers at various locations, both on-site and externally.

* Support initial factory trials, working closely with the Process Technologist to adapt kitchen-level methods into efficient production processes.

* Provide all necessary product and process information to relevant departments to meet critical path milestones for successful launches.

* Gather and interpret data from practical development work, sharing insights with Product Managers to refine products or address customer feedback.

Experience Required:

* A skilled professional in New Product Development, holding a degree in Food Science or a related field.

* At least three years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, ideally within the chilled food sector.

* Comprehensive knowledge of product development and manufacturing processes, combined with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively under pressure.

* A passionate food enthusiast with a deep understanding of the NPD process.

* Innovative and self-assured in presenting new product concepts.

* Energetic, driven, and highly self-motivated, with a proactive approach to challenges.
