Role: Commercial Gas Engineer
Location: Aberdeen
Salary: £45,000 + company van + Fuel card and on-call premium

Mainstay Recruitment is seeking a qualified and experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join our client’s team. This role involves working on a variety of maintenance, installation, and repair tasks to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct annual and interim maintenance visits in line with the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations.
Install gas pipework, including carrying out appropriate tightness and strength testing.
Replace heating controls and components as per manufacturer instructions.
Perform Combustion Performance Analysis on gas appliances.
Investigate and diagnose faults using manufacturer technical literature.
Attend gas escape reports and suspected fumes incidents in compliance with regulations.
Adhere to the Gas Industry Unsafe Situations Procedures, including issuing warning labels and notices.
Complete all necessary legal documentation using a handheld PDA system.
Undertake pipework alterations and repairs.
Replace parts to complete repairs or install new components such as radiators, valves, and pipework.
Respond to daily reactive repair requests as required.Qualifications and Skills Required:

Commercial ACS Qualifications: CCN1, CODN01, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, CONLP1-1PD.
Registration with OFTEC and BPEC (where required).
Water Byelaws qualification.
Awareness of Health & Safety Regulations.
Full, clean, and current driving licence.
Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative.
High standards of working practice with the ability to lead by example.
Excellent communication skills and a team-player mindset.
Flexible and adaptable approach to work.Additional Attributes:

High awareness of health and safety to ensure consistent adherence to safety standards.
