Shorterm Group have designed a paid upskilling programme that takes experienced light vehicle/car mechanics and upskills them to be highly competent HGV/PSV technicians.

This is a 1-year paid "work and learn" programme.
The training programme consists of 24 separate planned on the job (OTJ) training practical assessments across the year.

PSV/Bus Engineer
* Location: Various across London - North, East, South
* Shift: Shift work (Early/Late and running shifts as mentioned). Times/days will vary so will need to be able to commit to shift work.
* Salary: Starting between £34k p.a. and £46k p.a., depending on the shift pattern, plus you get paid an enhanced rate for overtime hours. (Our current upskillers average £37k/£38k per annum, for a 40hr week).
o Running Shift: Most common shift. Are Early/Late (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm) hours but is 7days on/3 days off, then 7 days on/4 days off - includes weekends and bank holidays.
* Duration: 12 months in the clients' depot - after this there is a very good prospect of full-time employment direct with the client and a pay increase.
* IMI accreditation upon completion of the 1-year programme and a permanent job offer with the client (with a pay rise), provided all parties are happy!
* Ongoing training and growth opportunities with the client.
