Dartford Area

£28k - £30k - 12 Month Maternity Contract

Edge Careers is working exclusively with a long-term client to recruit a proactive and driven Credit Controller. This is a rare opportunity to join a business with an excellent reputation for its low staff turnover and its commitment to supporting and valuing employees.

About the Role
As Credit Controller, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the company’s finance function. Responsibilities include:

* Recording monthly contract applications and payment receipts in the sales ledger.

* Producing detailed debtor and credit control reports.

* Preparing and issuing client statements.

* Building strong relationships with debtors and following up on outstanding payments.

* Resolving internal and external account queries effectively.

* Managing collections processes, including liaising with agencies and court proceedings.

* Handling daily banking tasks and ensuring accurate financial records.

What We’re Looking For
This role requires a proactive individual with a results-focused approach. In addition, the ideal candidate will have:

* Experience in the construction industry, would be highly advantageous.

* A qualification equivalent to AAT or higher. - Would also be adventageous

* Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, and proficiency in Google Sheets.

* Excellent numerical and communication skills, ideally to GCSE level or above.

* A keen eye for detail and the ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy.

* A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
