ARE YOU A QUALIFIED HISTORY TEACHER WITH A PASSION FOR HUMANITIES?

DO YOU HAVE RELEVANT UK BASED TEACHING EXPERIENCE?

The team at Teaching Personnel are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic history teacher to work on a full time basis in one of our OFSTED rated "Good" partner schools.

The school are widely regarded for their academic achievements and exemplar support for all pupils. 

The ideal candidate will:

- Hold a UK QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification) in secondary History

- have relevant experience teaching history across KS3 and KS4 in the UK

- have a bachelors degree in a humanities subject

- hold GCSEs in English and Maths ( as a minimum)

- have confidence teaching across all humanities subjects, covering PPA and sickness where required

- be confident with behaviour management techniques

- have previous experience teaching pupils with special educational needs and any additional learning needs

- have a DBS on the update service and be ready to work immediately

The Role Outlined:

Hours: Full Time

Pay: To scale (for full time, fully qualified teacher positions. Day to day rates may vary)

Location: B70, West Bromwich

Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver exciting History lessons which instill a love for humanities in all learners

- Cater lessons to the individual needs within each class, showing an awareness and understanding of differentiation for children with special educational needs

- Assess pupils learning and progress through regular marking of work and various forms of assessment, providing pupils with prompt and informative feedback

- Collaborate with colleagues within the humanities department and communicate effectively with both staff and students alike 

- Show a dedication to promoting the health, safety and wellbeing of all pupils, keeping safeguarding at the centre of your practice

- Contribute to the wider school community through engagement with extra curricular activities, parents evening and open evenings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
