1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant needed in a Secondary School

TeacherActive is proud to be working in partnership with a Secondary School based in Worcester who are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their SEND department!

The school offer a range of support to their students by providing tailor made Educational and Health Care Plans (EHCPs) and Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs) that are specifically designed to help focus to help develop students!

We are currently looking for a strong teaching assistant with experience supporting students on a 1:1 basis.

This role is starting in January, with the school holding trial days/interview immediately.

This a long term placement, but has the possibility to go permanent!

The right SEN teaching assistant will have:

- Enhanced DBS on the update service

-         Experience in working with students with SEND needs

- Experience working with KS3 to KS4

- Excellent communication skills

- Capable of building rapport with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

- Resilient and compassionate

- Caring and empathetic nature
