Job Advertisement: Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)
Location: Primary School, Burnley BB11
Hours: Mornings Only (8:30 AM – 12PM, Monday to Friday)
Start Date: As soon as possible

Are you passionate about making a difference in a child’s educational journey? We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a Year 5 student at our welcoming primary school in the BB11 area of Burnley.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to a Year 5 student during morning sessions.
Assist with learning activities, adapting materials to meet individual needs.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with teachers and other staff to implement the child’s learning plan.
Promote the social, emotional, and academic development of the student.

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience working with children, preferably in a primary school setting.
Ability to build positive relationships and provide focused support.
A patient, caring, and empathetic approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
An understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality.

Qualifications (Desirable):

NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
Experience supporting children with additional needs is an advantage.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
