Kitchen Assistant - Devizes Permanent

Salary
Hourly Rate: £12.26 per hour Annual Salary: Approximately £7,000 (based on term-time hours). Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 11:30 am - 2:00 pm
2 hours and 45 minutes per day, 12 hours and 30 minutes per week.
Term-time only, working 38 weeks per year.

We're looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our vibrant catering team at our Devizes based Client.

About the Role As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of meal services.

Your responsibilities will include:

Serving prepared meals to pupils at lunchtime.
Preparing the food hall for meals and cleaning up after lunch service.
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining area.
Assisting with basic food preparation and catering for meetings as needed.
Adhering to food safety, health, and safety requirements.

What We're Looking For:

We're seeking someone with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Ideally, you will have:

A friendly personality with a can-do approach.
An eye for detail and cleanliness.
Experience or qualifications in catering (desirable but not essential).
The ability to work well as part of a team.

Requirements The successful candidate will undergo enhanced DBS, medical, and reference checks. A good level of literacy is essential. Awareness of health and safety standards within a kitchen environment is desirable.
