We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join the Accounting & Finance team of a great public sector organisation. This role entails providing financial information to assist in the strategic growth of a not-for-profit organisation.

Client Details

This organisation is a Public Sector entity based in Halifax, with a strong commitment to providing quality support to people across West Yorkshire.

Description

Preparing monthly management accounts and financial statements
Assisting in the planning and forecasting process
Providing financial analysis and insights to support strategic decisions
Ensuring financial compliance with statutory requirements
Implementing cost control measures
Liaising with external auditors
Mentoring junior members of the team
Participating in projects to improve financial processesProfile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

Significant experience in a similar role
Any experience in a public sector, education or charity organisation would be advantageous
Professional certification or studying towards one, such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent
Proficiency in accounting software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
Experience in the not-for-profit sector is a plusJob Offer
