SEN Teaching Assistant - Special School in Maidenhead
January Start | Full-Time
SEN Support - Autism and Complex Needs

Are you passionate about working in special education? Do you want to make a meaningful impact by supporting young children in their learning and development? Are you a compassionate, patient, and nurturing individual?

If you're eager to support children with additional needs and help them reach their full potential, this SEN Teaching Assistant role in Maidenhead could be the perfect opportunity for you!

A dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) School in Maidenhead is seeking a warm and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis starting in January. The school caters to children with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, complex learning difficulties, and lower cognitive abilities. If you are empathetic, adaptable, and ready to take on a challenge, this role could be a great fit.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to provide tailored support for students. Your daily responsibilities will include assisting with lessons, encouraging positive behavior, and creating a fun and engaging learning environment. You'll also provide one-to-one support where needed and help manage any behavioral challenges, ensuring every student feels supported and valued.

While experience working with children or vulnerable individuals is beneficial, it's not essential. This experience can be professional, such as volunteering or working in a similar environment, or personal, such as supporting a family member with additional needs. A degree in Psychology, Criminology, or a related field would also be advantageous, but enthusiasm and a desire to help are what matter most!

This welcoming school has received praise for its inclusive approach and nurturing learning environment. They are especially proud of their sensory resources and focus on equipping students with essential life skills. By joining their team, you'll be part of a supportive, collaborative community dedicated to making a difference.
