We are partnering with a respected civil engineering contractor to deliver a key water infrastructure project in Devon. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Engineer to join the team on a contract basis, ensuring the successful delivery of this critical project.

Role Overview:
As a Site Engineer on this water infrastructure project, you will be responsible for overseeing site activities, ensuring that work is carried out accurately and efficiently. You will manage setting out, quality control, and support the Project Manager in coordinating all aspects of the project to ensure it is completed on time and within specification.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct all site engineering tasks, including setting out, levelling, and surveying.
Ensure the accurate interpretation of design drawings and specifications.
Oversee the construction of pipelines, treatment plants, and other water-related infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Monitor and manage the quality of work on-site, ensuring standards are met.
Work closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager to plan and execute works.
Assist with resolving technical issues and provide engineering solutions as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of work progress, including as-built documentation.
Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure work is completed as per project requirements.
Ensure materials and resources are available on-site when required. Qualifications & Experience:

A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Proven experience as a Site Engineer in the water or utilities sector, with a strong understanding of water infrastructure projects.
Proficient in using surveying equipment such as Total Stations, GPS, and AutoCAD.
Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in the construction industry.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
CSCS card is essential, and SMSTS certification is advantageous.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
