Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor – Main Contractor – Repairs & Maintenance
Location: Borehamwood
Salary: Up to £85,000 (DOE) + £5,000 Car Allowance / Company Vehicle + Benefits

About the Role

Are you a seasoned Senior Quantity Surveyor with expertise in repairs and maintenance? Join a highly successful main contractor with a turnover of £35m, specialising in delivering exceptional services within local authority and public sector frameworks.

This is an urgent opportunity to manage key projects for Camden Council and Hertfordshire Council, focusing on residential and educational repairs and maintenance. The scope includes roofing, drainage, and improvement works, with a combined value of £5m for the year. Be part of a dynamic and growing contractor competing against top Tier 1 companies and leading the way in this sector.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor

• Oversee robust commercial procedures and processes to ensure project success.
• Manage projects with values up to £5m, from inception to completion.
• Lead the financial and contractual management of local authority frameworks.
• Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders, both upstream and downstream.
• Deliver repairs and maintenance projects on residential and education sites, ensuring budgets and timelines are met.
• Provide cost management, risk analysis, and project reporting in line with company standards.

Skills and Experience Required

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in repairs and maintenance, ideally within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor.
• Project Expertise: Proven ability to manage block upgrades and similar council projects.
• Commercial Knowledge: Experience working within structured commercial processes and frameworks.
• Industry Insight: A successful track record working with public sector and local authority clients.
• Ambition: A genuine interest in joining a fast-growing contractor and contributing to its ongoing success.
