Machine Tool Fitter

Holroyd Precision Ltd is an award-winning, successful machine tool manufacturer, producing high value, precision engineered grinding and rotor milling machines. We are based in Milnrow, Rochdale, close to junction 21 of M62 and metro station within walking distance.

We offer an excellent benefits package:
6% matched pension contributions, health plan, 4x life assurance, 33 days holidays increasing with service, company sick pay scheme and favourable work pattern of four days per week, Mon – Thurs, 38 hours and premium rates for overtime.

Salary: £33,000 to £35,000 per annum.

Premium rates paid when assisting on-site with machine installation.

About the role:

Due to high sales and product diversification, we are recruiting a time-served, machine tool fitter with precision engineering experience.

We are looking for a skilled machine tool fitter/ tool maker with experience in the following areas:

Building sub-assemblies from component level following drawings and schematics
Working to tight tolerances (less than 10 microns) with an eye for detail and quality finish
Experience in the use of measuring tools
Experience of working on complex machine builds or maintenance of heavy machinery
Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics would be advantageous as would working with bearing assemblies, gears and alignment of machine

We are looking for someone who is apprentice trained (mechanical), preferably with an HNC qualification, and has extensive experience in the build /assembly or maintenance of complex, multi axis, precision engineered machinery.

Once fully trained in the build of our machines, you will have the opportunity to travel internationally as a member of our installation team, so flexibility and a willingness to travel is essential.
