Job Title: Vehicle Maintenance Technician
Location: St Helens (WA10)
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 (DOE)
Shifts: Rotating Shift Pattern between 6am-10pm (including some weekends)
Contract Type: Permanent

Our client is a leading global Industrial Gases and Engineering company, delivering high quality gas processing solutions for a variety of industries, including healthcare, chemical, manufacturing and food & beverage.

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Vehicle Maintenance Technician to support the efficient and effective running of the St Helens Depot and Fleet.

As the Vehicle Maintenance Technician your duties will be;
Undertake Planned & Defect Maintenance activities for both Mechanical and Cryogenic Systems.
Liaise as and when required with external maintenance contractors and other bodies e.g. DAF.
Minimise vehicle downtime and react to peak demands for vehicle availability.
Consistently ensure all safety procedures are followed, playing a key role in safety agendas.
Coupling and uncoupling of motive units/towing vehicles from tankers/trailers.
The successful Vehicle Maintenance Technician will have the following skills;
Must have a solid work history within a similar role, working on hazardous vehicles and tankers would be advantageous.
Must hold a valid Class 1 licence with CPC certification (for a minimum of 3-5 years).
Experience with working on DAF tankers/trailers.
High level of safety awareness.
Flexible to work a rotating shift pattern, including occasional weekends.
