💼 Job Opportunity: Trade Counter Assistant

📍 Location: Lowestoft, NR33
⏰ Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:30am – 4:30pm
💰 Salary: £30,000 + bonus
🚗 Perks: Free on-site parking, 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, company wide bonus scheme, Pension contributions.

As a Trade Counter Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our clients business, ensuring every customer interaction is fast, friendly, and professional. From upselling products to maintaining the shopfront, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving sales and enhancing the customer experience.

This dynamic role requires a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to tackle a variety of tasks.

Requirements

* Competent IT skills and good typing abilities.

* Physically fit and capable of moving heavy loads.

* Previous experience in the construction industry or familiarity with construction materials is a plus (training provided if not).

Personality Traits:

* A ‘people person’ who thrives on building relationships and solving problems.

* Resilient under pressure with a professional and positive attitude.

* Strong communicator and attentive listener with attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Trade Counter Sales:

* Respond promptly and professionally to customer requests at the Trade Counter.

* Advise customers and direct them to the products they need.

* Upsell and cross-sell products to boost turnover.

* Process all transactions accurately using our system.

* Maintain a clean and well-stocked shopfront.

* Assist with answering customer calls and providing solutions.

* Help with picking and packing products for collection.

* Restock shelves in and around the Trade Counter area.
