Job Title: Modelling & Simulation Lead Engineer

Location: Warwickshire

Contract – Inside IR35

Pay rate: £29.66 per hour

Are you a highly skilled engineer with a passion for cutting-edge technology in the automotive sector? We are seeking a Modelling & Simulation Lead Engineer to design and deliver state-of-the-art modelling and simulation methods and tools for validating and verifying ADAS system designs.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement advanced co-simulation of ADAS systems models with vehicle dynamics and sensor models.
Conduct virtual reality-based user testing and vehicle-based rapid prototyping of models.
Establish and enforce modelling & simulation standards.
Replay logged data through models and automate artifact creation (requirements, test cases, and reports) from the model database.
Demonstrate exceptional understanding of Model in the Loop (MIL) and Software in the Loop (SIL) testing methodologies.
Support systems engineers in creating resilient and robust systems models through continuous integration, simulation, and rapid prototyping.
Develop processes and tools for validating test case design against specified model behaviour and apply test cases to production software.
Skills and Experience Required:

Extensive experience with Matlab/Simulink, Python, and simulation tools.
Significant expertise in Systems Engineering, particularly model-based testing and design verification and validation.
Proven software experience, including MATLAB, Simulink, Python, and C++.
Experience operating in a DEVOPS model and CI/CD pipeline.
In-depth knowledge of Automotive SPICE processes.
Proficient in state-of-the-art test methods and techniques, including test automation.
Experience with MIL, SIL (open and closed loop testing), and automotive networks.
UML/SYSML modelling experience.
Educated to degree level in a relevant subject with excellent communication skills.
Preferred Experience:

Games engine development (e.g., Unreal engine).
Assisted and/or Automated Driving System Testing.
ISO26262 standard knowledge.
Experience with HIL & VIL (open and closed loop testing).
Proficiency in using Vector/NI/DSpace tools.
Virtual reality development experience.
Experience with Simulink-based rapid prototyping (Dspace, NI, Speedgoat).
User trial testing (Human in the Loop).
Experience working in a scaled agile organization.
