Business Development Manager

Field-based

£60,000 + bonus + car allowance

Working for this established and growing organisation, the Business Development Manager will work closely with the Commercial Director and Head of Sales, to achieve sales and business targets as directed and pro-actively identify and develop new accounts within a specified sector across the UK.

The Business Development Manager will be rewarded with a car allowance; a competitive bonus scheme; 23 days’ holiday, increasing with service to 30 days; quarterly staff awards and long service rewards; company events; a healthcare cashback scheme and life assurance.

As the Business Development Manager your hours of work would Monday to Friday 8am to 530pm. The role is remote working, however you will be required to travel across the UK and also to attend meetings at the Wirral head office.

To apply for the Business Development Manager, you should have had previous experience of working within a sales and business development role whilst developing and identifying new business within the industry. You should be able to provide a strong track record of sales results and successes.

Responsibilities:

* Achieve sales and business objectives related to the sector’s growth plans

* Introduce proven sales methodologies to accurately qualify opportunities and build pipeline, pursuing sales opportunities to drive revenue growth

* Assist in the development and implementation of a successful sales and marketing plan

* Build relationships at multiple layers within each prospect – understanding prospect types as well as key organisational roles

* Master an intimate knowledge and understanding of the prospect's buying process, their industry, and their business, and ensuring this is reflected in deal forecasting

* Represent the brand through an ability to communicate in a professional, consultative, and business-like manner

* Be an active and positive member of the sales team, contributing to ideas, projects and areas for improvement e.g. product, system or process

* Produce sales statistics and provide MI to the Commercial Director and Head of Sales

* Attend internal and external sales meetings

* Attend industry events and trade exhibitions when required

* Complete and deliver market and competitor research to identify potential targets

* Adhere to the company’s selling practices whilst in accordance with the industry regulations

Essential Skills:

* Successful track record of achieving business to business sales targets, gained within either the estate agency, conveyancing or mortgage sectors

* Excellent customer relationship management skills

* Capability of understanding customer pain points and requirements, with the ability to passionately deliver a value-based sales pitch

* Ability to run multiple opportunities in different stages of the sales process while maintaining a high level of prospecting to ensure a healthy ongoing pipeline

* Resilient and responsive to change, operating within a fast-paced business

* Strives for perfection and adopts a ‘right first time’ approach

* Demonstrates a continuous willingness to learn and develop oneself

* Able to possess in-depth knowledge within the market, related products and trends

* Self-motivated, have a strong drive and bring a high level of commitment and confidence

* Ability to identify market opportunities

* Articulate and presentable

* Ability to self-motivate and work in an environment where management will not always be present

* Demonstrable negotiation skills

* Commercial acumen

* Full UK driving licence and own transport
