We are working with a leading specialist in vehicle data and navigation applications. They are seeking an Applications Engineer to join their innovative team.

Location: Buckingham
Salary: up to £45,000
Type: permanent, office based 5 days/week with intermittent testing required at their nearby airfield site.

As an Applications Engineer, you will be involved in the complete product life cycle—from conception and specification to user acceptance testing and pre/post-sales support. You’ll work closely with customers to understand their needs and propose tailored solutions, while managing multiple projects and coordinating with development and test teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze automotive customer needs and propose innovative solutions
Lead and manage projects through the full product life cycle, from design to release
Communicate product/project status and maintain detailed specifications
Provide expert guidance to customer support teams
Support pre-sales activities, including customer demos and training
Collaborate with marketing for activities like Expos and content creation Required Skills:

2+ years in automotive or vehicle testing, ideally with experience in project management
Engineering-based degree or HNC level qualification
Strong understanding of technical documentation and problem-solving
Customer-facing experience and strong communication skills
Full, clean driver’s license Desirable Skills:

Experience with GNSS/INS technologies
Sales and customer management experience
