Job Title: Semi-Senior Accountant

Location: Newton Abbot

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role:

We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Semi-Senior Accountant to join a dynamic accountancy practice. This role is ideal for someone partway through their professional qualifications and looking to develop their skills further in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.

Assist with the preparation of VAT returns and tax computations.

Undertake bookkeeping tasks and maintain accurate financial records for clients.

Support with the preparation of management accounts.

Assist in the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns.

Liaise with clients to gather information and address queries.

Support senior accountants and managers with ad hoc projects.

Skills and Experience Required:

Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, or AAT (or equivalent experience).

Experience working within an accountancy practice is essential.

Good knowledge of accounting software, such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar.

Strong numeracy and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.

Good communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
