PE Teacher – Loughton

Position: PE Teacher
Location: Loughton, Essex
Contract Type: Full-Time
Salary: £31,350 – £47,839 (dependent on experience)
Start Date: January 2025

About the Role:
Supply Desk is working with a vibrant school in Loughton, Essex, seeking an enthusiastic and committed PE Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about physical education and promoting a healthy lifestyle. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach a variety of sports and fitness-related subjects across Key Stage 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.
Teach a range of individual and team sports, promoting both skill development and teamwork.
Encourage students to participate actively in physical activities and adopt a healthy lifestyle.
Assess student performance, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
Maintain a positive classroom environment that fosters respect, discipline, and enthusiasm for physical activity.
Organize and supervise extracurricular sports activities, tournaments, and events.
Collaborate with colleagues in the PE department to enhance the curriculum and share resources.
Ideal Candidate:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Degree in Physical Education or a related subject (preferred).
Experience teaching PE at Key Stage 3 and 4 (although newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply).
Passionate about sports and promoting physical fitness.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to inspire and engage students of varying abilities.
Positive, energetic, and a team player.
