MEP Commercial Manager - Data Centre - Nordics

Our client is a €1.5bn turnover, multi-disciplined main contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major, complex schemes with a particular emphasis on Data Centres, Pharmaceutical and Life Science projects

Due to continued growth in the region of their Data Centre division, our client is now seeking an experienced MEP Commercial Manager to join their Nordic team.

Responsibilities

* Commercial Management of MEP Systems: Oversee the commercial aspects of MEP works on the data centre project, including cost estimation, procurement, and ensuring that the MEP systems are delivered on budget and on schedule.

* Contract Administration and Negotiation: Manage MEP contracts from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to contract terms, handling claims, variations, and disputes, and providing advice on contractual matters.

* Cost Control and Reporting: Monitor and manage the costs associated with MEP works, tracking expenditures, preparing cost reports, and ensuring that the project remains financially on track. Provide regular financial updates to senior management and clients.

* Procurement and Supplier Management: Oversee the procurement process for MEP systems, including selecting suppliers, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment to the project site.

* Risk Management and Issue Resolution: Identify potential risks and issues related to MEP works, developing strategies to mitigate risks, resolve disputes, and ensure smooth project execution. Work proactively to avoid delays or cost overruns.

* Collaboration and Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with other departments (e.g., structural, civil, and architectural teams) and external stakeholders (clients, consultants, and contractors) to ensure the MEP systems are integrated seamlessly into the overall data centre design.

Requirements

* Membership of a Professional Institution - such as SCSI or RICS

* Bachelors Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying

* Data Centre Experience advantageous

Benefits

Up to €130,000 per annum + full rotational package
