Job Title: Housing Options Officer with Triage Experience
Location: Saffron Walden
Contract Type: Temporary
Hourly rate: £22 - £28 umbrella

We are recruiting for a Housing Options Officer on a temporary basis.

The Role
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Housing Options Officer with experience in triaging housing needs. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for clients, offering timely advice and support to prevent homelessness and provide sustainable housing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct initial triage assessments to determine urgency and priority of housing needs.

* Provide tailored advice to clients on their housing options, rights, and responsibilities.

* Develop and implement personalized action plans to prevent homelessness.

* Collaborate with internal teams, external agencies, and landlords to deliver effective housing solutions.

* Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including the Homelessness Reduction Act.

* Monitor progress and review cases to achieve positive housing outcomes for clients.

What We’re Looking For:

* Proven experience as a Housing Options Officer, with at least a few months of triage experience.

* Comprehensive knowledge of housing legislation, policies, and best practices.

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work empathetically with diverse client groups.

* Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

* Proficiency in using case management systems and relevant IT tools.
