Description

Our client, a prominent company within the Building Control sector, is currently seeking a Registered Building Inspector to join and cover projects in and around Sheffield. This is a permanent role where you will be primarily engaged with building control, focusing on both residential and commercial schemes. The position offers the flexibility of working from home full-time, with site visits as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with building regulations and standards
Reviewing and approving plans for residential and commercial projects
Providing expert advice and guidance on building control issues
Maintaining accurate records of inspections and approvals
Collaborating with developers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project completion
Identifying and reporting any non-compliance issues, and following up appropriately
Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with relevant health and safety regulations

Job Requirements:

Experience in building control and inspection, specifically within residential and commercial projects
Understanding of building regulations and compliance standards
Class 2b qualification, with a preference for Class 2d/2f
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
