Science Teacher – Gillingham, Medway
Start Date: January 2025
Contract: Full Time, Long-Term until July 2025

About the School:
We are supporting a popular and welcoming secondary school in Gillingham, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, in their search for a passionate Science Teacher. The school provides a nurturing and collaborative environment where staff are encouraged to use innovative teaching methods to inspire students and achieve excellent results.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic Science Department, teaching KS3 and KS4 students while contributing to the wider school community.

Role and Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, following the national curriculum.
Take on full teaching responsibilities, including lesson planning, marking, and monitoring student progress.
Provide constructive feedback and tailored support to help students achieve their potential.
Work collaboratively with colleagues as part of a supportive and dedicated team.
Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, and school events.
Ideal Candidate:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Have a degree in Science or a related field.
Demonstrate experience in teaching Science to KS3 and KS4 students.
Exhibit excellent classroom management skills and a proactive attitude.
Be organised, reliable, and a strong team player.
Hold a current DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
