We have a rare opportunity to join a unique manufacturer in the position of Glass Grinder and Machine Operator.
The role:
As Machine Operator, you will be required to carry out glass preparation to include grinding and polishing using machines and hand tools.
As your training and learning progress the role will develop to also include, assembly, cutting (by hand and machine), stock control, lathe work, machine minding and wiring.
Person fit:
Training will be given but the role will suit someone who is versatile, keen to learn new skills and develop. You will need to be a hands-on person with good attention to detail. Previous experience within a production or manufacturing environment is required, previous Machine Operator experience would be good.
The role will require you to be on your feet for long periods of time and your hands will often be in water so the role wouldn't suit someone that has a skin condition or sensitivity. There is also some lifting involved.
Job details:
Hours of work are Monday to Thursday (Apply online only) initially, but you will be required to also work on a Friday (Apply online only) once trained.
Weekly pay, 28 days holiday and work place pension.
We are looking for someone to start immediately in a temporary capacity at first but with the prospect of a permanent contract after a trial period.
