GS3 Recruitment are currently recruiting an experienced Estamator for our clients head office based in Cambuslang.

The suitable candidates must have 5 Years+ experience in estimating or detailing with an excellent understanding of the curtain walling & facade sector with experience of the systems available.

Candidate should be a very competent individual with Strong analytical skills, as well as an eye for detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with our clients.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

* Performing take-offs and price works using Schu-Kal and LogicKal software.

* To work alongside the existing sales team and design team to prepare tender bids and financial estimates ranging from £1,000 to £1 million.

* Have a good understanding of current BS/EN codes for NBS: H11, H13, L10, & L20, and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of CWCT standards with a proven ability to advise clients on all aspects of performance of the system quoted for.

* Pricing of all specialist works for steel fire screens, curtain walling, structural glazing, and window systems

* Reviewing material and labour requirements.

• Preparing and maintaining a directory of supply chain partners.

• Work independently to submit compliant competitive bids and to liaise with the chief estimator.

* To work alongside the existing team of architectural metalwork & metal door estimators. To prepare tender bids and financial estimates ranging from £1,000 to £5 million for all 3 divisions of the business & submit competitive multiple work packages tender bids.

Skills Required:

* 5+ years experience as an estimator or draughtsperson with experience & skills in the commercial glazing, curtain walling & facade sectors

* A good technical understanding of glass, windows, doors and aluminium curtain walling

* Highly effective interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.

• A relevant time served apprenticeship trades background.

* Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Construction ,Civil Engineering - HND, NVQ or equivalent as a minimum
