Apprentice & Skills Development Coach – Steelworker

*MUST be Steelworker Qualified with proven experience as a time served Steelworker *

Barrow In Furness based

Copello are working with an International defence client who are looking to expand their supportive team of seven coaches and play a key role in guiding apprentices from their first day to completion. With the freedom to manage your own time, you'll provide expert coaching and mentorship, ensuring a smooth apprenticeship journey. Full training and ongoing support will be provided. What you’ll be doing:

* Deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment practices that engage and inspire learners to fulfil their individual potential and develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours to successfully progress within the business

* Take professional pride in their role and embrace continuous professional development opportunities in support of delivering innovative and impactful teaching, learning and assessment

* Assess and monitor learner progress & performance in line with standards and legislative requirements to ensure occupational competence

* Coach employees and learners to reach their full potential by providing key support, mentoring, challenge and motivation throughout all aspects of their learning journey

* Develop learners that are innovative thinkers and creative problem solvers, through designing and delivering learning content as part of a blended learning pedagogy focused on delivering vocational excellence

Your skills and experiences:

* Effective coaching and mentoring skills

* Strong and effective interpersonal skills specifically when dealing with welfare, support and safeguarding issues

* Steelworker Qualified with proven experience as a time served Steelworker

* IT Literate

Qualifications:

* Steelworker qualifications

Desirable:

* A1/Assessor qualification

* Submarines Experience
