Multi Skilled Engineer (Days) / Permanent / Beccles / Salary £43,500 - £50,000

Position 1 Recruitment is seeking for a Multi Skilled Engineer for a leading global manufacturer in Suffolk. Join an innovative company focused on growth and development, offering exciting opportunities and strong career progression.

Multi Skilled Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the operational efficiency of equipment through proactive maintenance and rapid responses to breakdowns. You will work closely with the Shift Engineer to ensure production requirements are met and all issues are addressed promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

* Work to a program of preventative and autonomous maintenance as a Multi Skilled Engineer.

* Collaborate with the team to achieve maximum productivity throughout the shift, liaising with the Shift Engineer to resolve any problems.

* React to breakdowns quickly and efficiently, as required by the shift team leader.

* Complete all tasks following the relevant work procedures, ensuring efficiency and professionalism as a Multi Skilled Engineer.

* Communicate all necessary information to engineering team leaders.

* Assist with tasks to support the efficient running of the engineering environment as a Multi Skilled Engineer.

* Maintain a safe and clean work area according to site BRC and 6S standards, always adhering to H&S requirements.

* Work as part of a team and independently, using your initiative in both planned and emergency breakdown situations.

As a Multi Skilled Engineer, your experience in mechanical and electrical engineering within manufacturing environments is essential. You must demonstrate the ability to work independently, take responsibility for your actions, and achieve objectives. Recognised engineering qualifications are required.

Shift Pattern:

This full-time, permanent role operates on a rotating double day shift, Monday to Friday, with hours from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm. A fully covered 75-minute break is included each day.

Excellent Overtime Opportunities:

Our client offers premium pay for extra hours: 1.5x for weekdays and Saturdays, 2x or 3x for Sundays, bank holidays, and callouts. Overtime is rotated fairly, including weekend callouts to keep operations running smoothly.
