Commercial Gas Engineer

£38k-£41k plus package

Located in Preston

My client are a Preston based company who specialise in commercial heating, plumbing and electrical maintenance and installation. They have been serving the Northwest for many years and are ideally situated. They have been trading for over fifteen years’ and have established their business by successfully tendering for planned and reactive maintenance contracts.

They are proud to have a settled team of highly skilled gas and electrical engineers who have the highest level of job specific qualifications and have wider training skills appropriate to their working environment, such as Dementia Friends and Mental Health in the Workplace.

They are looking for a Domestic/Commercial Gas Service, Breakdown & Maintenance Engineer to join our expanding team. The successful candidate must have the desire to up skill and work on commercial systems in the future.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Carry out services on domestic/commercial gas boilers and heating systems.

* Diagnose faults on gas appliances and controls and ensure adherence to POW's, RAMS and spec.

* Complete work in line with company procedures to an agreed timescale, including all associated administration tasks.

* To carry out maintenance and repair on all aspects of plumbing.

* To report effectively to Contract Managers with remedial works.

* To ensure adhere to all company policies and practices e.g. Company Vehicle policy/Health & Safety Policy.

* To provide a professional, effective and friendly service to customers.

* To be part of a professional, friendly and supportive team.

Minimum requirements for the role as a Commercial Gas Engineer:

* Boiler Breakdown Experience: 3 years

* Boiler Servicing Experience: 3 years

* Ability to accurately diagnose faults and provide 1st time fixes

Required licenses or certifications for the Commercial Gas Engineer position;

* ACS (CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1) or equivalent

* NVQ Level 2 Plumbing

* Clean DBS

* Clean UK Driving License
