Data Cabling Engineer, Reading

Roc Technologies is one of the UK’s fastest growing and capable Transformation Services Providers and we empower organisations in the public and private sectors to accelerate business and technology change.

We are looking for Data Cabling Engineers to work as part of the installation team carrying out works detailed below to deliver customer projects.

Core responsibilities

* Network cabinet installations

* Primary and secondary containment system installations

* Installation of Cat6 or Cat6A horizontal cabling solutions

* Termination, Testing & labelling of Cat6 / Cat6A solutions

* Network switch installation

* Copper patching

Requirements

* Experience of terminating copper cabling (Category 5e, category 6 etc)

* Experience of testing both fibre optic and copper cables using Fluke Testers

* Good working knowledge of current installation practices

* Experience in the installation of containment systems (both Steel and PVC)

* Knowledge of OTDR testing would be an advantage.

* Focused and able to work within a team and independently.

* Good communication skills
